Total Stall System Remote Sensor

The Total Stall System comes with two sensors as standard but on the odd occasion it may be necessary to add more sensors. These sensors can be fitted to the door as well as the walls.

Dummy Unit

Dummy QuitKicks can be used once a horse has been trained to stop kicking its door. Eventually the sight of a unit on the door is enough to discourage the behaviour, but if the unit is removed the habit may possibly start again. Dummy QuitKicks can be purchased if you have several horses in your facility that need to be trained. Rather than buying several ‘active’ units you can train your horses one or two at a time, and once the horse has been trained with a real unit it can be swapped for a dummy and the real unit moved on to the next horse you wish to train. Note - dummy units will only work on a horse that has been trained with a real QuitKick unit. Dummy units do not come with back plates – these need to be purchased separately. The QuitKick Door Kicker is where it all started! The QuitKick Door Kicker is mounted on the outside of the stable door and is able to detect a kick from the horse through its bespoke electronic sensing system. Once a kick is detected the Door Kicker device immediately sends two jets of water upwards in a one second burst. This totally consistent and instant response to a kick very quickly teaches the horse not to kick the door. The horse will not associate the water jets with anything other than door kicking so fitting a QuitKick will therefore not impact on any other element of the horse’s life. Very importantly the horse will not associate the QuitKick water jets with humans and therefore your ongoing relationship with your horse will not be affected as you will not be seen as the one doing the punishing. The sensors are able to work out when the door is kicked so the horse is free to look out over the door as normal. The unit will not activate without a sharp impact. Many thousand QuitKick Door Kickers have been sold worldwide and we are yet to hear of one that has not been successful in stopping the horse from kicking the door.

ASTOUNDING INVENTION
Our yard of 24 horses is now peaceful even at feed time. Door banging is a thing of the past. Provided it is used on a regular basis for individual horses after the initial introduction of two or three days , a monthly reminder of a day is all that is needed to keep the peace. I thought I would share my experience of buying and using QuitKick. My horse (who I have had for 4 years) has always kicked the stable door, purely for attention, good or bad! I could never restrict his diet as he would kick for his hay net. I couldn't stand talking to someone as he thought I should be talking to him.
